The Lake Forest Property Owner ’s Association
maintains and operates three swimming pools for our members. The
original Swim & Racquet Club pool is located at the end of Country Club
Drive. This is an Olympic size pool that is used by those members who
choose to join the Swim program and the Lake Forest Swim team. There is
a playground and volleyball court adjacent to the pool in addition to
picnic tables and charcoal grills. The Recreation Building is adjacent
to the pool with lockers, showers, games, and other services available
to the members.
The Ridgewood Blvd Pool is an excellent pool
with diving board and a separate toddler pool. In the 2006 swim season,
this will be the pool that is open to all property owners at no charge
from Tuesday – Friday. On Saturdays and Sundays there will be a small
$2.00 charge for those members who do not have an annual pool membership
and $4.00 for guests. There is a very nice
playground adjacent to this pool and on the other side are several
basketball goals on an asphalt parking lot. The pool this year has
received a new pump and filter, so we can expect a fun-filled year
without interruptions.
The Montclair Pool is a lovely, somewhat
smaller pool that is perfect for families with small children. At least
a third of the pool is very shallow making for a lot of fun for the
younger ones. There is a playground that received in the Spring of 2004 some nice new
equipment. Picnic tables and charcoal grills are located at this pool, also. This
pool is open to members who join the Swim program or any member in good
standing can use the pool for a $2.00 daily fee.
