Board Agrees To Two Free Pools |

At last Thursday's Board of Director's meeting, the board agreed to open a second pool to all members without extra charge. Last year and this year, the free pool has been the Ridgewood Pool. Because it is located on the north end of Ridgewood Drive, it is a long way for children who live at the front of Lake Forest to walk. So effective immediately, the main Swim & Racquet Club pool will be free to all members in good standing during it's normal operating hours all week long. One note, however, is that the Lake Forest Swim Team uses that pool in the mornings for their practice sessions and a few times each summer for meets. It will not be open for member use during those times. The hours operation of the pools are as follows SWIM AND RACQUET - 626-9326 Tuesday,

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and
Saturday --- 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The only remaining pool for which there is an additional charge is the Montclair Pool. That one continues to be a fee based pool because it was felt that many members would rather have access to a pool that would be a little less crowded. Perhaps, we can see how the usage of the other pools goes this year and possibly make them all free next year. There was some talk as well of designating some hours as adult only.
