Nancy
and Rob have lived in their home in Lake Forest since 1991. The gardens
have been completely redone since 2002. Their yard is wonderfully unique
starting with the Empire Zozia grass, which is believed to originate in
Brazil. Nancy and Rob have well thought out gardens with a most beautiful
look. From the brick lined curb to the brick walkways, which lead through
these gardens around the home through a lovely wrought iron arch, and to the
warm and cozy lattice walled patio. They have included in their garden
various types of ivy and lilies some of which line their entryway. You will
find Popcorn trees surrounded by Indian Hawthorne, Crepe Myrtle, and
Caladiums (red variegated and green variegated). Also included in their
gardens are Mimosa trees, Bridal wreath bushes, the large variety of
elephant ears, hostas, ferns, heather, wondering jew, sago palms and blue
lariope and other planting too numerous to name. The Burke’s display truly
shows their love for the outdoors coupled with a gardening flair.
