Lake Forest Tennis Association Meeting of March, 2005

Present at the meeting were Roger Kersh, John Shanks, Mike Abeln, and Richard  Hall.

Treasurer Report- We have 268.58 presently in the bank.

Landscaping and Maintenance- The tree's have been planted by Mike and the boys along the walkway. The nets on the hard court still need some repair on both courts.

Feb Social- Had a great turnout for the Univ of Mobile Tennis Tournament. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We hope this will help the tennis team.

Growing our Club- Men's night is still going. We have approx 4-5 people showing up every Wednesday night to play. Roger suggested to develop a specific list for mens night. This list would contain only names of men that are interested in play on men's night. Then have a way for someone to check the name after that person has been called. This would allow someone else determine which calls still need to be made. This could also be done with Womens night.

March Social- This social will be a fund raiser for the Daphne Boy's tennis team. We thought a person from the Daphne tennis team would attend to explain the social but none ever came. All details are being handle by the tennis team and the have a flyer in the pro shop. Costs is $10 per person and lunch can be purchased for and extra cost.

April Social- We are planing a social for April 23. We are going to invite the people from the Mobile Tennis Center over since their courts will be reserved for the Sunbelt Tournament. Hopefully we will have a lot of people attend this social. Suggested costs for the event is $10 for guests and $5 for members. Roger and John will be tournament directors for this event. Roger is handling  communications and Johns is Director of Food and Beverage. We will take care of the remaining details at our next meeting.
