LAKE FOREST TENNIS ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING MINUTES

SEPTEMBER 21, 2003

In attendance were Mitch Davis, Bill and Susan Green, Bill and Dorothy Brown, Al Peck, Gene and Dolly Guy, Richard and Carol Hall, Karen Keenan, and Michael Albrecht.

The September Social was a success!!  The juniors were welcomed and a grand time was had by everyone that participated.  The food was greatly appreciated and enjoyed. 

 TREASURY REPORT

The beautification of the Clubhouse surroundings, changing the fence and adding more sidewalks, costs $2,000.  Al Peck has paid $800 towards the $2,000 owed since April of 2003.  Great job from all the members on participating in the events that have raised this money!!

 OCTOBER SOCIAL

There will be a social scheduled for Saturday, October 4, 2003.  The social will be open to all age groups.  The cost will be $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for juniors under age 14.  We hope to fill all the courts, making for an eventful day!!

FUTURE PLANNING
 

	A future social is planned for Saturday, November 1, 2003.  This will be a Member/Guest Tournament.  The guest will be entered free of charge.  This will enable outside individuals to engage with Lake Forest members and possibly facilitate future enrollment to the Lake Forest Tennis Association.  Juniors are invited!!
	Posters will be made by Bill Brown.
	Mike and Richard will check on writing an article about the Member/Guest Tournament and having it published in the next issue of the Lake Forest Spectrum.
	For future socials and events, emailing a newsletter to members was discussed.  This would give another avenue to communicate with the Lake Forest Tennis Members for added participation

The next board meeting is scheduled for October 19, 2003 at 5:00 P.M. at the Lake Forest Yacht Club.
