February's
Yard of the Month belongs
to William and Marsha Stuart, who have lived in Lake Forest since 1985.
Their lovely one-level home on Ridgewood welcomes you with a lovely brick
stairway and a full front porch filled with white wicker furniture and a
swing. A perfect place to view their lovely front yard. The front bed is
bordered with Mondo Grass and is filled with Acubas, Chinese Fringe, with
Dogwoods and Pine sheltering the plants below. The walkway to the front
door
has a Camellia at the corner of the house and two very large Sago Palms
with a lovely fountain between for the water feature. As you approach the
stairway, there are potted ferns and to finish off the left side of the
porch, Azaleas. The side drive has a Confederate Rose, Camellia, Dogwood
and Hibiscus. The home is so neat and appealing and now with the winter Ray
Grass beginning it completes the entire front of the house. The Lake Forest
Garden Club is always pleased to find a home like the Stuarts' and will
award them a Gift Certificate from Home Depot for helping to make Lake
Forest a lovely place to live.
