Members are including yard sale information.  Follow-up is being conducted in response to member requests coming through the web page suggestion box, including a request for a traffic light at the Dillard entrance to Lake Forest, paving of Ridgewood and more security at Lawson Rd. and Hwy. 27 due to heavy traffic flow.

Greens:  D. Ivanjack stated bunkers were complete.  Work is being done daily to get the greens back into shape after winter stress and excess rain.  Report on file.  A condensed version of this report by Golf Course Superintendent, Bobby Farley, is available on the web page.

 GENERAL MANAGERS REPORT

Included: Capital expenditure projects are still ongoing.  We are currently paving the circle surrounding the Country Club parking lot.  Work is complete on the outside storage structure at the golf course maintenance barn area and they will be moving inside to the bathrooms, employee break room and office area.  The fire department personnel at Lawson Road have agreed to supply water for landscaping at that entrance.  A bid was received for $350.00 for shrubbery from Jake’s Landscaping, Inc.  We are taking bids to paint area adjacent to the stairs entering the Forest Room and the ceiling area in the Bayview.  After a month of ongoing problems with the Country Club freezer, it finally appears to be repaired.  There was minimal spoilage as we used the Yacht Club freezer and other areas available.  The first fine dining experience on April 26 with Master Chef Filippo, his staff and our staff combined, was a very fine presentation.  The next one will be held on June 14.  There is also a cooking class scheduled with Filippo for May 30 at the Yacht Club.  Advertising for both will be on the web site, Spectrum and a mail-out with the next billing.  The Hope Bush vs. LFPOA/Hal Pierce case was heard the week of May 12 and the jury ruled in favor of LFPOA and Captain Pierce on all counts.

 COMMENTS TO BOARD

Addressed by Mr. Ed Kirby with comments praising the scholarship program and publicizing it through a press conference.  He also contributed insight into the Dillard’s entrance relative to a traffic light.  He also commented ADEM had changes this year regarding enforcement of erosion control and fines.

Addressed by Mr. Phil Hooper concerning any updates on the lake deterioration.  He was informed a number of people are working on the origination of the silt upstream.

Motion by D. Ivanjack seconded by M. Davis to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 p.m.  Motion carried.
