MGA Mardi Gras Tournament 

The Men’s Golf Association held its first event of 2003 on March 1st.  The event was the Mardi Gras tournament.  This was an 18-hole stroke play event with a blind draw for team partners.   

The following are the flight winners:

 First Flight: 

1^st – Rick Puryear & Steve Scarcliff
2^nd – Glen Wright & Billy Wilkins
3^rd – Phil Becker & Jim Courtois 

Second Flight 

1^st – Maxie Cooper & Robert James
2^nd – Mike Schulz & Ed Turk
3^rd – Lynn Blackmon & Mike McKown 

Third Flight 

1^st – Bill White & Jim Johnson
2^nd  tie – Carl Kauffman & Bill Andrews
             Bobby Stewart & Lance Stanley

The next two scheduled tournaments are the following:
April 12^th – Masters Tournament (Stroke play, draw a professional partner)
May 17^th – Two man teams (Choose your own partner).

Any male Lake Forest golf member can join the MGA for only ten dollars and enjoy the competition and camaraderie.
